A bulk herbs supplier since 1975, Starwest Botanicals started as a small retail herb shop in Sacramento, California and has earned their reputation as an international source for wholesale herbs based on their commitment to delivering the highest quality. Our commitment to provide value through a combination of quality products, excellent customer service, and fair prices led to rapid growth. To help meet our expectations of quality control, in 1979, we built our first herb mill to process our herbs. In 1980 we expanded again by importing bulk herbs from several different countries and supplying manufacturers and wholesalers. During this time, we were able to be a part of the fledgling organic herb industry in 1980 and were there to offer our support to what was a that time a new industry. In 1983, Starwest was named to Inc. magazines list of top 500 fastest-growing private companies.

As one of the largest suppliers of organic herbs in the United States, Starwest has 85,000 sq. ft. of modern warehouse and production space and over one million pounds of herbs and spices in stock. We are proud of our accomplishments, but the thing of which we are most proud is that we have many loyal customers and bulk herb suppliers that are still doing business with us over 30 years later.
