Cassia bark (both powdered and in whole, or "stick" form) is used as a flavoring agent for candies, desserts, baked goods, and meat. It is also specified in many curry recipes. You can also make healthful sautÃ©ed lamb with eggplant, raisins and cinnamon sticks to create a Middle Eastern inspired meal, and add ground cinnamon when preparing curries.
