Questions & Answers for Sassafras Root Bark

Does your sassafras bark have safrole oil? I am making root beer.

Question by: Jim on March 22, 2014
The natural occuring safrole oil has not been removed, as this is the raw root bark. I believe that is the basis of the warning - that it's not for food or long-term use.
