Whole Vanilla Beans (Vanilla planifolia)

Latin Name: Vanilla planifolia
Common Names: Vanilla Beans, Bourbon Vanilla Beans

One pound contains approximately 130 to 140 whole vanilla beans and one-quarter pound contains approximately 30 to 25 whole vanilla beans. We also offer a small pack of 4 vanilla beans, which is the 0.46 oz size.

Pure Organic Vanilla Bean Powder (Vanilla planifolia)

Our pure, organic vanilla bean powder is just that - powdered organic vanilla beans, with nothing added (no sugar, no fillers, etc.). Note that this is quite different from Vanilla Bean Extract Powder, which does have additional additional ingredients and has gone through additional processes to extract and concentrate the vanilla flavor.

Questions & Answers for Vanilla Beans

What is the difference between the vanilla bean and the bourbon vanilla bean?

Question by: Debbie on March 27, 2014
They're actually the same botanical, and both the conventional and organic varieties can be classified as 'bourbon' vanilla, which refers to vanilla planifolia grown in Madagascar, India, and some other areas within the Indian Ocean.
