Description:The oil is used in dentistry as an antiseptic, and in pharmaceutical work as an antiseptic, expectorant and general tonic for throat lozenges and gargles. Cajeput can have a slightly warming effect and is sometimes used in a blend for promoting lactation (under professional advice).

Scent Characteristics: Camphorous, medical, slightly fruity.

Distillation Method: Steam distillation of the leaves and twigs
