Questions & Answer for Lavender
On March 23, 2014 Diana asked:
- Q: Is the organic super grade lavender appropriate for culinary use? And assuming from pic super grade is free of stems & leaves?
- A: Yes, all three grades are appropriate for culinary use actually. Super has the best color, so if you're putting it in something that will be noticeable in (such as a blend of whole spices, a loose tea, etc.) it's a great choice. However, extra and select will work for normal culinary use. The picture is accurate in that the super grade has little to no stem or leaves, while there is a bit in the extra and select grades (more so in the extra; we try to sift that out but it's not possible to remove 100% by machine sifting). - starwest staff
