Mace Spice Is Available At Starwest Botanicals
Mace spice comes from the Nutmeg tree, an evergreen known in Latin as Myristica fragrans. While the nutmeg is the seed from the tree, mace is the outer covering of that seed. Nutmeg and mace have a similar flavor, yet the taste is a bit more delicate in mace, and mace is also added to recipes to impart a golden hue to the food. Our mace seasoning comes to us from our growers in Indonesia, and we then process the spice in-house in order to achieve the highest quality bulk dried herbs and spices available.Mace ground spice can be used in a similar fashion to nutmeg. It makes a wonderful addition to your holiday stuffing of wild rice, sausage and dried cranberry. Grits can be seasoned with a light dusting of mace ground spice, to which sausage and peppers may be added to turn it from a side dish to a hearty main dish meal. A delicate seafood chowder that features shrimp or crawfish can be enhanced with a small amount of mace at the last minute before serving. Curry can be made from shrimp as well, and the taste of the dish as a whole can be improved with the addition of mace powder.
As a certified bulk herbs processor, Starwest Botanicals offers value by providing the finest quality mace spice with superior customer service and reasonable prices. Every dried herb and spice product that we offer also comes with a one hundred percent satisfaction guarantee.
