Fenugreek Seed from Premium Sources

Fenugreek Seed in powdered and whole forms, as well as organic and kosher versions. Fenugreek Seeds come directly to us from our producers, and then we process this and all of our quality dried herbs and spices in house in order to guarantee that they are of premium quality.

Fenugreek Seed comes from the herb with the Latin botanical name of Trigonella foenum graecum, which is a member of the Fabaceae plant family, the same one that is the family for legumes, peas and beans.

Organic fenugreek seed has many culinary uses as well. It is one of the primary ingredients found in curry powder, and is also used in pickle recipes.

The spicy seed can be used to flavor chutneys. Chutneys can be made from crushed vegetables or fruits to which seasonings are added, and are a popular condiment in Indian cuisines. Chutneys taste wonderful served over sauteed fish fillets.

Fenugreek may also be used in dressings and sauces. Added to yogurt, it gives a spicy kick to vegetable dishes. A delightful sauce used over baked chicken includes Fenugreek as part of a curry blend along with coconut milk.

Vegetable flavor is intensified with the addition of organic Fenugreek Seed. You can pan fry diced potatoes and then add the ingredients of curry, which can include turmeric, chili powder, mustard, cumin and fenugreek, and let the heat cause the flavor to explode in the whole seed spice.

Fenugreek can also be used to season fish and other types of seafood. Fish can be seasoned with curry powder containing Fenugreek or can be placed in marinades that are used to soak the fish prior to cooking. The spice may also be added to spice rubs for meat. Chicken or lamb are delicious when a spice rub including Fenugreek is used before roasting or grilling.

Buy Fenugreek Seed from Starwest Botanicals and you will be pleased to discover that we offer excellent customer service, fair prices and the highest quality dried herbs and spices on the market today.

Normalizes Mucus Membranes

I first got whole fenugreek seed to help clear the mucus from my lungs and sinuses, it did. My kidney were blocked with small stones and I was amazed to find that within minutes my kidneys were unblocked and I lost 30lbs. of water weight in 2 days. My kidneys have been fine ever since. When I went through menopause I accidentally discovered that the fenugreek was managing all my symptoms when I ran out for a few days. The health food store always ordered extra because they knew I would come in crying and laughing, desperate for more. I have been using whole seed in my coffee every day for 25 years.

Fenugreek seeds arrived promptly, and i planted them in soil in a basket to sprout. They all came up in a few days, and after a week, were about ready to use. They were so beautiful, my peacocks ate ALL of them, so Ill protect the next batch.

It seemed like 100% germination.

Fenugreek Seed sublty but quickly regulates the viscosity of mucous mebranes.

I purchased whole Fenugreek seed in 1989 because my lungs were filling with fluid. I had also stopped urinating, but did not know what to do. After 3 or 4 sips of Fenugreek tea I had to take my tea cup into the bathroom. I included Echinacea purpurea root 800mg 4xdaily. In 7 days I was able to work again. 12 years later the mystery illness was named Hepatitis C genome II. Adding sylimarin to my treatment and increasing the dose of Echinacea purpurea root to 1,400-2000mgs. 3 times a day showed liver tissue regeneration on my last liver biopsy. The last ingredient of my Hep C treatment is Absinthe. I believe it has kept the liver swelling down. It was very dramatic initially.
