Safflower Oil (Refined, High Oleic)

Expeller pressed from Carthamus tinctorius seeds, then refined, bleached and deodorized, Safflower oil is rich in monounsaturated fat, making it more stable against oxidation. Our oil has a high oleic content of 75-79%, and is an excellent solution and healthy alternative to saturated oils in culinary dishes. It is a naturally occurring liquid vegetable oil that exhibits extended shelf life without chemical modification of the original oil. A neutral flavor and odor make this oil highly suitable for a wide range of culinary dishes. This oil is perfect for high heat applications like sauteing, frying and all-purpose cooking. High Oleic Safflower Oil is also used in numerous applications as an emollient, and is commonly found in skin care products, like soaps, balms, and creams.

Ingredients:
Safflower Oil: High Oleic Safflower Oil (Carthamus tinctorius), Refined.

Organic Safflower Oil: Organic High Oleic Safflower Oil (Carthamus tinctorius), Refined.

Packaging: To preserve and maintain their beneficial properties for years, our 16 oz Vegetable Oils are packaged in light resistant, dark glass amber bottles with a pressure sealed lid and a taper seal poly liner. This elegant bottle is the perfect way to protect light-sensitive liquids, because the dark amber glass helps prevent light degradation. The 1 gallon sizes are packaged in a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) jug, with a tight-fitting plastic lid to help protect contents from moisture and air. Our 5 gallon Vegetable Oils are packaged in a cube container with a spigot and handle.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, and avoid direct sunlight and heat. Preserving Oils: If stored improperly for long periods of time, the oils may become rancid. They have a minimum 2 year shelf life when stored properly. When making products with vegetable oils, you can also add 2% Vitamin E Oil to act as a natural preservative.
