Questions & Answers for Spirulina

Has your product been tested for mercury content? What are the results of these tests if so ?
Question by: Lyndsay on August 21, 2014
Yes, we test every lot of Spirulina for mercury content. We pulled up three recent lots at random to review the results, and mercury was undetectable for each of them - less than 0.00 parts per million. While the content can vary from lot to lot, and mercury is sometimes present in amounts of a fraction of a part per million, it's not typical to find a significant amount of mercury in this item.

Is this wild harvested? What is your position on Fukishima's impact on spirulina?
Question by: Huf Sirius on April 15, 2014
We sell versions from three different countries (US, India and China) and none are wild harvested or impacted by Fukishima. We are monitoring that situation closely for all products we feel could be at risk.
