Raspberry Leaf Tea Recipes | Starwest Botanicals

One of the things I love about herbs is their uniqueness. Each plant has its own characteristics - the way it grows, the parts we use, the time of harvest, its colors, textures, and aromas. Each one also possesses a distinctive phytochemical profile, with specific affinities to help support different systems in the human body.
When dried and processed, raspberry leaf has a soft fluffy appearance to it. Rich in tannins, it offers a slightly sweet yet mildly bitter flavor, giving it a similar taste and mouthfeel as black tea. Raspberry leaf is best enjoyed when prepared as a tea.
Measuring in parts
In some of the recipes below, ingredients are listed using the “parts” method instead of specific measurements. This flexible system lets you adjust the recipe size depending on how much you want to make. Essentially, 1 part represents a single unit of measurement, which you can scale up or down.
For example:
1 part = 1 teaspoon: Use this for small batch if the blend
1 part = 1 tablespoon: Use this for a medium size batch if the blend
1 part = ½ cup: Use this for a large size batch of the blend
1 part = 1 cup: Use this for an extra large batch of the blend.
After blending your herbs, store them in an airtight glass container and out of the sun to extend their shelf life.
Directions: To prepare your tea, use 1 tablespoon of the blend for every 8 ounces of water.
This method makes it easy to customize the recipes below to suit your needs, whether you’re making a small amount or preparing a larger batch to share. I hope you enjoy them
